Mooskan exists to listen.
We are not here to fix you or solve your problems.
We are here to hold space, to listen deeply, and to build a community of people who want to feel—freely and honestly.
For us, mental health is not about constant healing or improvement.
It is about the freedom to feel, to express, and to be witnessed without judgement.
Think of this space as a support group—rooted in nature, reflection, and shared humanity.
Mooskan was created with a simple intention — to offer a space where individuals can slow down, connect with themselves, and engage with their inner experiences in a way that feels natural and unforced.
In a world that often encourages quick solutions and constant movement, Mooskan takes a different approach. It values presence over urgency, and understanding over fixing.
This space is grounded in the belief that emotional well-being begins with being able to feel and express freely, without judgment or expectation.
At Mooskan, the emphasis is on creating environments that are safe and non-judgmental — where individuals can express themselves openly.

Mooskan Shah is a counselling psychologist with a deep interest in understanding people's inner worlds — their emotions, experiences, and the meaning they make of them.
Her work is rooted in the idea that not everything needs to be rushed toward change. Often, what people need is the opportunity to pause, to feel, and to express themselves in a space that feels safe and accepting.
Alongside her background in counselling psychology, she is also a forest and nature therapist. While her current work focuses on one-to-one counselling and creating emotional spaces, her perspective is informed by the quiet, reflective qualities found in nature — where there is no urgency to become, only space to exist.
An immersive program designed to let the natural world do what it does best — hold space for your healing. No prior experience needed. No goals, no pressure.
Forest bathing is not hiking. It is the slow, deliberate practice of being in the presence of trees — letting your nervous system soften, your senses open, and your thoughts settle without effort.
Rooted in the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, research shows that time in natural settings reduces cortisol, lowers blood pressure, and activates the parasympathetic nervous system. The setting does the work. You just show up.
Anyone who feels the need to slow down, to reconnect with themselves, or simply to spend time in a natural setting without pressure or agenda.
Peer support means being heard by people who've been there — not clinicians, not advisors, just fellow humans who understand the territory of substance use from the inside.

A private, held space to bring whatever you are carrying — without needing to make sense of it first. Sessions are conducted online and tailored entirely to you.
Sessions can explore a wide range of experiences. Some of the areas commonly brought to counselling include:
Free, structured counselling sessions — offered to those who need support but cannot access it. Sessions are conducted by trained counselling interns under the close supervision of a qualified mental health professional.
Please note: All pro bono sessions at Mooskan are conducted by counselling interns working toward their professional qualification. Every session is reviewed and closely supervised by a licensed counselling psychologist. This is a structured training model that ensures ethical, competent support for every client. It is not the same as speaking with a fully qualified therapist independently — and we believe you deserve to know that.
"You will be heard without judgement, and held without pressure."
Each person who applies is matched with a counselling intern based on availability and the nature of your concerns. You will typically meet with the same intern across your sessions for continuity.
Sessions are 50 minutes, held online via a secure video platform. All information you share is kept strictly confidential, subject to standard ethical limits (risk to self or others).
Your intern's work is reviewed regularly by a supervising psychologist — which means your care is always held within a professional structure, even while your counsellor is still in training.
